Steel Showdown at the Range Langley BC Firearms Academy

We had a great time on Tuesday shooting the Steel Showdown at the Range Langly.  As always the Range Langley staff went above and beyond to not only make sure the range was safe but, that all participants had a great time.   It was great to meet new shooters and reconnect with old friends.  If you are a Range Langley member I recommend coming out to the next Showdown.  If you’re not a member of the Range Langley head down and check them out or visit them online https://www.therangelangley.com/.

What is the STEEL SHOWDOWN:

The STEEL SHOWDOWN is a house tournament of 16 participants that put Shooters head-to-head in multiple mini speed matches.  Here’s how it works:

Steel Showdown at the Range Langley BC Firearms Academy

  • Shooters will start on the firing line from the “Low Ready” position, wait for the beep and race in a head to head format to drop all 6 steel targets.  There are no limits to the number of rounds a Shooter may fire.  There is no penalty for missing shots.  The name of the game is to get your targets down – AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.  The first Shooter to hit all six targets wins.

  • Shooters will be randomly placed into four groups with four shooters.

  • Each Shooter will go against the other three Shooters in their group for seeding purposes.

  • After seeding is established, Shooters are assigned to either A, B, C or D pool.

  • Shooters then begin the Showdown in a sudden death tournament format.  Winners move on, Losers are out.

  • All shooters are guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches.

  • Prizes were given to the top Shooters in all four pools.

  • This is an OPEN category tournament – No restrictions or classification by Class or Division on firearms or power factor of ammunition with the exception that all handguns must be 9mm or larger calibre.
All Participants must be Tactical Range Orientation qualified.

The tournament fee is $30 per participant.  This tournament is a first-pay-first-serve basis.  Please call 604 833 4867 to pre pay and book your seat!

Good luck to all Participants!
