Finnish or Swedish Candle Outdoor Cooking
This method of cooking has been used in many places. I first learned about when reading about coastal logging camps in B.C. Large fir rounds were used. They were lite in the morning and when the core was glowing a heavy cast iron pot of stew or roasting meat was placed over the smouldering round and left to cook until lunch time. A pot of coffee could be brewed in no time.

Ecozoom Cook Stove
These small stoves were designed to be used in third-world countries where cooking is done on a small scale and with small fuel. It is very efficient, boiling water in a few minutes or on a low flame and cooking a pot of stew.
