Firearms License PAL To Become A Canada Border Services CBSA Officer

CBSA Firearms Licensing CFSC & CRFSC

Canadian Firearms Safety Course and Restricted Safety Course For your CBSA Application

Start With The CFSC / CRFSC

The Canadian Firearms Safety Courses (CFSC and CRFSC) are now required at the start of your CBSA training. They are no longer required in order to apply to CBSA, but it is recommended.

Where can I take the CFSC or the CRFSC?

BC Firearms Academy offers the CFSC / CRFSC regularly throughout the lower mainland of BC. Our most active locations are: New Westminster, Serving Vancouver, Burnaby, Delta and Surrey and Abbotsford, Serving Langly, Chilliwack, Mission and Maple Ridge.

What is the cost of getting the PAL?

With BC Firearms Academy, the CFSC & CRFSC combined course is $205 +tax. Once you have completed the testing successfully, the RCMP collects an $80 processing fee for the licences.

What does PAL stand for?

PAL stands for Possession and Acquisition License. It is renewable every 5 years. As a general rule, applicants must have passed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course in order to obtain one. Both the restricted and non-restricted courses and licenses must be obtained at your own expense before the start of your CBSA training.
