PAL stands for Possession and Acquisition License. It is renewable every 5 years. As a general rule, applicants must have passed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course in order to obtain one. Both the restricted and non-restricted courses and licenses must be obtained in order to be employed for most road jobs.
You require a regular “G” license in Ontario, a “Class 3” for Quebec and a “Full Class 5” for all other Provinces. Employees may be trained in various job functions including driving.
