The possession limit is the maximum number of birds a person may have in their possession. The possession limit applies to all persons (including non-hunters who may receive birds as a gift), and for all birds.
  • Do I need to take my digital hunting license with me hunting? No, You can choose to print these licences from your FWID profile but it is not required. Hunting licences in British Columbia are electronic. Digital licences include resident, non-resident, non-resident alien, initiation and youth licences.
  • What is the WILD System in BC? The Wildlife Information and Licensing system (WILD) is the B.C. government’s online service for submitting hunting applications, purchasing licences and submitting reports. 
  • Can I hunt in BC Parks? Fishing/hunting is allowed in many BC Parks; check the park-specific webpage for information. Check the fishing/hunting regulations synopsis for the area you plan to visit. Ensure you have the proper licenses.
  • What does to “accompany” mean when hunting in BC? "accompany" means to remain in the company of the other person, able to see the other person without the aid of any device other than ordinary corrective lenses and able to communicate by unamplified voice with that person;

FALCONRY » Falconers, with a valid possession permit, may hunt small game with the use or aid of raptors throughout the Province during the regular open season or during bow only seasons subject to the applicable bag limits as indicated in the regional schedules, as long as they have acquired the necessary hunting licence(s). DOGS » The use of dogs is permitted in the hunting of all game, but dogs must be on a leash when used to hunt deer, elk, moose, mountain sheep, mountain goat and caribou. Unleashed dogs may be used to hunt small game, lynx, bobcat, black bear, or cougar. This course focuses on the skills necessary to master in order to shoot the handgun well. Emphasis will be on: proper grip, trigger control and body position, deployment, drawing from the holster, loading and stoppage clearances.We are committed to sharpening your shooting skills through drills which will increase your dexterity. We will teach you how to use these drills as a diagnostic tool to determine your limitations.We will then move to exercises designed to test the skills necessary to respond as effectively to any situation that may require a pistol.

In this course, you will learn how to effectively and efficiently draw from a holster, shoot while moving, reload your firearm while moving, rapid sight acquisition, shoot moving targets, how to plan and execute a proper stage plan. How to mentally prepare for a stage or event. The do’s and don’ts when attending a match or event.  We will provide instruction on the basic rules of 2 (or more) of the most popular dynamic pistol shooting sports.The entire course is focused on perfecting your competition handgun shooting for IDPA, IPSC, etc.
