RESTRICTED CRFSC Burnaby (1-day RPAL) Fri April 26

Completing this Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) is required to upgrade your PAL to include restricted firearms (RPAL).

This is a 1-day course which includes the exam at the completion of course material. The test is comprised of a true/false – multiple choice written and a practical handling section.

This CRFSC covers restricted firearms only and satisfies the RCMP requirements for restricted firearms licensing.

The course costs $100.00 and is delivered by the best Firearm Safety Instructors in the country.

You cannot complete the CRFSC without proof of completion of the CFSC.

Class runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Class starts at 9:30 a.m.
Course content includes:
  • The evolution of firearms, major parts, types, and actions
  • Basic firearms safety procedures
  • Operating restricted firearm actions
  • Safe handling procedures
  • Firing techniques and procedures
  • Care and maintenance of firearms
  • Laws: Safe storage, display, transportation and handling of restricted firearms
  • Ammunition
  • Responsibilities of the firearms owner/user

  • Writing material ( Pen & Note Paper)
  • Government Issued ID

Minor’s Licence:

Individuals younger than 18 years of age are only eligible to hold a non-restricted firearms license and as such will not be permitted to write the restricted portion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course exam nor take the course for credit.

A minor’s license permits the borrowing of non-restricted firearms for:

  • target practice;
  • organized shooting competitions;
  • hunting; and,
  • instruction in the use of firearms.

A minor’s license also permits the acquisition of ammunition, unless there is an age restriction under the provincial or territorial law.
