NON-RESTRICTED ONLY CFSC (non-restricted PAL) Burnaby/Metrotown Thursday Aug 27

Completing this Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) is required to apply for your PAL (Possession Acquisition License). This is a 1 day course and includes testing which consists of a written true/false, multiple choice as well as a practical handling component with deactivated firearms that will be made available to you to get familiar and comfortable with.

This CFSC covers non-restricted firearms only and will not satisfy the RCMP requirements for restricted firearms licensing.

You will train with the best firearms safety educators in the country.

  • Operating non-restricted firearm actions
  • Safe handling and carry procedures
  • Firing techniques and procedures
  • Care and maintenance of firearms
  • Laws: Safe storage, display, transportation and handling of  non-restricted firearms
  • Ammunition
  • Responsibilities of the firearms owner/user

Minor’s Licence:

Individuals younger than 18 years of age are only eligible to hold a non-restricted firearms license and as such will not be permitted to write the restricted portion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course exam nor take the course for credit.

A minor’s license permits the borrowing of non-restricted firearms for:

  • target practice;
  • organized shooting competitions;
  • hunting; and,
  • instruction in the use of firearms.

A minor’s license also permits the acquisition of ammunition, unless there is an age restriction under the provincial or territorial law.
