Introduction to Dynamic Shotgun

This course will take you from basic to intermediate level shotgun fundamentals. Topics covered are types of gear (equipment and accessories), stance, grip, sights, ammo selection, patterning, carrying techniques, handling, loading, unloading and reloading, emergency loads and emergency topup.

Dynamic Shotgun

This course will give you the knowledge and skills to employ a shotgun in a tactical environment. Tactical carry and deployment, Stress fire, Use of cover, Shooting on the move, Engaging multiple targets, Shooting from unorthodox positions, Malfunction clearance,

Advanced to Dynamic Shotgun

This is an advanced level course with one goal: to teach you how a professional uses the shotgun in the real world. Tactics in scenario-based training, Employing a shotgun from a vehicle, Intro to breaching (Using the shotgun as a tool), Shooting in low-light, Identifying threats ,Turning and shooting

About Your Course

More Information About Dynamic Shotgun Courses with BC Live Fire Academy

Your range kit must include:

YOUR RANGE KIT MUST INCLUDE:

Good working, serviceable shotgun (single barrel – pump or semi) with an adjustable 2 point sling. Tactical shotguns are preferred but not mandatory. Shotgun must be capable of shooting standard slugs. If the barrel has a removable choke, the choke must be IC (Improved Cylinder) or larger.
- 300 rounds of ammunition ( You may bring some home)
-- Minimum of 175 rounds of birdshot (7 1/2 to 9)
--12 - 15 rounds of 00 Buck
-- 100 rounds of slug
- No reloaded ammunition, please.
- Eye and ear protection

    This course focuses on the skills necessary to master in order to shoot the handgun well. Emphasis will be on: proper grip, trigger control and body position, deployment, drawing from the holster, loading and stoppage clearances.We are committed to sharpening your shooting skills through drills which will increase your dexterity. We will teach you how to use these drills as a diagnostic tool to determine your limitations.We will then move to exercises designed to test the skills necessary to respond as effectively to any situation that may require a pistol.

    In this course, you will learn how to effectively and efficiently draw from a holster, shoot while moving, reload your firearm while moving, rapid sight acquisition, shoot moving targets, how to plan and execute a proper stage plan. How to mentally prepare for a stage or event. The do’s and don’ts when attending a match or event.  We will provide instruction on the basic rules of 2 (or more) of the most popular dynamic pistol shooting sports.The entire course is focused on perfecting your competition handgun shooting for IDPA, IPSC, etc.

    EVERYTHING A NEW HUNTER NEEDS
