CANADIAN FIREARMS LICENSE

One of our priorities at BC Firearms Academy is the PAL / RPAL firearms licensing course. Anyone interested in obtaining their Canadian firearms license can do so in a professional classroom environment with hands-on training from our certified instructors.

BC HUNTING LICENSE

BC Firearms Academy is dedicated to providing convenient access to CORE examinations. B.C. resident hunters will need a Fish & Wildlife ID (FWID) to apply for Limited Entry Hunting or to buy a hunting licence. The FWID replaces the old B.C. resident Hunter Number card. There is no cost to obtain one. Resident hunting credentials provide proof that you are qualified to hunt in British Columbia.unity.

CORPORATE EDUCATION, TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

BC Firearms Academy we tailor training programs to integrate seamlessly with your business. Employers are responsible for providing worker instruction and training under section 115 of the Workers Compensation Act. The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation also requires mandatory worker education, training, and/or certification in many cases.

CFSC/CRFSC (pal/rpal)

PAL/RPAL IS THE LICENSE FOR BOTH NON-RESTRICTED AND RESTRICTED FIREARMS AND REQUIRES COMPLETION OF THE 2-DAY CANADIAN RESTRICTED FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE (CRFSC). THIS COURSE COSTS $225

PAL IS THE LICENSE FOR NON-RESTRICTED FIREARMS ONLY AND REQUIRES COMPLETION OF THE 1-DAY CANADIAN FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE (CFSC). THIS COURSE COSTS $180. RESTRICTED UPGRADES ARE AVAILABLE.

This course focuses on the skills necessary to master in order to shoot the handgun well. Emphasis will be on: proper grip, trigger control and body position, deployment, drawing from the holster, loading and stoppage clearances.We are committed to sharpening your shooting skills through drills which will increase your dexterity. We will teach you how to use these drills as a diagnostic tool to determine your limitations.We will then move to exercises designed to test the skills necessary to respond as effectively to any situation that may require a pistol.

In this course, you will learn how to effectively and efficiently draw from a holster, shoot while moving, reload your firearm while moving, rapid sight acquisition, shoot moving targets, how to plan and execute a proper stage plan. How to mentally prepare for a stage or event. The do’s and don’ts when attending a match or event. We will provide instruction on the basic rules of 2 (or more) of the most popular dynamic pistol shooting sports.The entire course is focused on perfecting your competition handgun shooting for IDPA, IPSC, etc.
